You're in an app's built-in browser. ED Rush 3D runs better in Safari or Chrome, and a license you buy stays with the browser you buy it in.
Run the floor on foot. Nurses and EMS bring patients back to open beds. You work them up on the bedside tablet, do your own scans and procedures, sign your notes at a computer, and keep the phone from ringing off the hook. Every case comes from ED Rush.
Early access A work-in-progress 3D version of the ED Rush app for iPhone (Android coming soon). It gets regular updates, so expect a few rough edges and steady improvements. The web game is sold separately from the mobile app.
An attending runs the floor, answers the phone, and assigns you patients. Check in with them first. Work them up at your own pace, then find the attending and present. They step in before a harmful order, nudge you when something slips, and review every case with you.
The demo is a 5 minute Slow night. The full game unlocks every pace and 5, 15, 30 or 60 minute shifts.
ED Rush 3D puts you on the floor of an emergency department for a full shift. Patients arrive by ambulance and through triage, nurses bring them back to open beds, and you walk the department to see them. On the bedside tablet you take the history, examine, and order labs, imaging, medications, and consults. You do your own bedside ultrasound (POCUS) and procedures, run codes, sign EKGs, answer the phone, write your notes at a computer, and decide who goes home and who gets admitted.
Emergency medicine residents, physician assistant and nurse practitioner students and new grads, nurses, medical students on their EM rotation, and anyone curious how an ED actually runs.
There is a free 5 minute demo shift. The full game is a one-time $9.99 license that unlocks every pace, 5 to 60 minute shifts, and Student Mode.
A web browser on a computer, tablet, or phone. There is nothing to install.
It uses the cases from ED Rush for iPhone (Android coming soon) in a 3D department you walk around. It is sold separately from the app.
No. ED Rush 3D is for education and entertainment. The cases are fictional and simplified.
You are the only clinician on the floor for one shift. Patients walk in through triage or arrive by EMS, and nurses and medics bring them back to open beds. Work each one up, treat them, call the right people, and get them dispositioned before the board backs up. When the clock runs out, you get a case-by-case review with the diagnosis and teaching points.
Pick Student on the main menu. An attending runs the department, answers every call, and assigns you patients one at a time once you check in with them. See them, order what you think they need, and do your own procedures. When you have a plan, find the attending (look for the name tag) and hold Space to present: how sick, and where they should go. They step in before a harmful order, nudge you when something slips, put in the disposition, and review each case with you: the diagnosis, how it went, and the teaching points.
On a phone or tablet, use the joystick or tap the floor to move, tap a bed to walk over and open the chart, and use Action for anything you would hold or tap Space for.
You earn points for the right workup, the right treatment, the right consultant, and the right disposition, plus a bonus for speed and for POCUS that changes management. You lose points for harmful or unneeded orders, missed critical treatments, sending sick patients home, deaths, ignored interruptions, and notes left unsigned. Stars depend on the pace you picked.
